Intra Oral Camera

An intra oral camera is a small, high-resolution camera that fits comfortably into a patient’s mouth. It can project accurate, enlarged pictures of your smile onto a screen for you and our team to view together.

What is an intra oral camera?

An intraoral camera is a small, high-resolution camera that fits comfortably in a patient's mouth, and can provide access to levels of detail that may not be possible with other imaging devices.

Intra oral cameras provide full colour photos that go a long way in helping to determine the best possible oral health care treatment plan for you.

The sharp, accurate images produced by intra oral cameras are enlarged so that you and our dental team can view them together.

By projecting images of exactly what is seen by our dental team, intra oral cameras can give you a better understanding of your treatment options – helping you to feel more actively involved in your care.

How do we use intra oral cameras in your treatment plan?

We can use these magnified images to discuss your treatment plan options with you.

We know that considering recommendations for treatment plans that address specific dental problems can leave some patients feeling overwhelmed or uncertain. Being able to see the problems in question can help clarify the treatment plan, and ease some patient anxiety.
