What is iTero?
The iTero scanner is a hand-held wand that our dentists use to scan the inside of your mouth and capture accurate 3D impressions of your bite.
This tool helps us measure and evaluate your mouth in a minimally invasive way. The 3D model of your teeth can then be used to help plan your Invisalign treatment or to design dental restorations like crowns, bridges, and implants.
The iTero Process
Your dentist uses the intraoral scanner to take a complete 3D scan of your mouth. This image will then be projected onto the iTero screen, allowing you to see what your smile currently looks like from all angles.
We then use iTero's Smile Simulator to show you a complete 3D rendering of what your smile could look like by the end of treatment. Your scans are also used to create your custom aligners or dental restorations.
