Highland Dental Centre offers restorative services to improve the look and feel of your smile. Our dentists will walk you through each appointment to ensure you fully understand the procedures.

Crowns & Bridges

With crowns and bridges, the caring team at Highland Dental Centre will be able to restore your failing teeth, correct your bite, add strength and structural support, and improve your whole smile.

What is a Dental Bridge?

If you are missing teeth and having trouble speaking or chewing, or if you are noticing strain when biting, bridges may be the ideal procedure to help make your mouth healthy and beautiful again.

Bridges literally “bridge” the gaps left by missing teeth by filling them with strong, natural-looking artificial teeth.

Bridges are semi-permanent – they can only be removed by a dentist – and are both comfortable and proven to strengthen your natural teeth.

What is a Dental Crown?

Crowns are a type of dental restoration which, when cemented into place, fully covers that portion of a tooth which lies at and above the gum line.

In comparison, composite fillings, inlays, and onlays are dental restorations that are used to fill in or cover over only a portion of a tooth.

Since a dental crown encases the entire visible aspect of a tooth, in effect, it becomes the tooth's new outer surface.

Crowns are used to rebuild broken or decayed teeth, to strengthen teeth, and as a means of enhancing the cosmetic appearance of teeth. Crowns can be made out of porcelain/ceramic, gold alloy, or a combination of both. Dental crowns are often referred to as "dental caps".

Full Mouth Restoration

Sometimes patients come to us having never had regular access to proper dental care. They are often suffering from worn, discoloured, missing, chipped, or otherwise damaged teeth. In these cases, we often recommend a full-mouth restoration.

If you haven’t had access to the proper dental care for years—or for a lifetime—you may be suffering from a wide vareity of dental afflictions all at once.

Not only can a damaged smile affect your self-esteem, it can also affect the way you speak and chew, and cause a great deal of physical discomfort.

If you're in this situation, Highland Dental Centre can help, with a full mouth restorative treatment plan.

By combining a variety of dental procedures and techniques, including periodontal and endodontic therapy, bridges, crowns, veneers and dental implants, the Highland Dental Centre team can give you a beautiful, healthy smile, of which you can be proud.
